In Christmas 2016 I visited St. Lucia and I can honestly say, second to Jamaica, St. Lucia is the most beautiful place I can remember visiting. I love how familiar St. Lucia feels to Jamaica in that you can drive for an hour and you feel as if you are in an entirely different country. The mountains are lush, the beaches are gorgeous and the people are warm.

During my time in St. Lucia I climbed Gros Piton, which for me was an adventure. I got to see the island from higher up and it was even more beautiful.

Another major highlight for me was having lunch at the Ladera Hotel — not only is the food amazing but the view is — forgive the cliché — to die for! Jade Mountain Hotel offers another great sunset view, I recommend spending at entire day exploring that side of the island. If you are a nature lover, then spending the day at Pigeon Island National Park.

St. Lucia is a Caribbean gem and a definitive must-visit.
