In August 2021 I visited Turks and Caicos for two weeks and I while I am not a big beach fan, I was blown away by the beaches. I know the beaches in Jamaica are magnificent and when I tell nothing could prepare me for the beauty of Turks and Caicos believe me. The waters are crystal clear, deeply blue and just so beautiful!
While in Turks and Caicos I went over to South Caicos which is a 25min flight one way. We took a mini helicopter and I got to ride shot gun! It was so very cool! Here are some things I recommend doing in Turks and Caicos:
- Visiting the beach (duh!)
- Visiting one of the islands close by, we went to South Caicos.
- Snorkeling, the reef is amazing and behold and it is protected!
- Cruise, yes a bit of a tourist trap, but I do recommend doing a sunset tour
If you want spend some time being a beach bum, Turks and Caicos is the perfect island to just go slow!
Turks and Caicos is very expensive so be prepared to drop a lot of money for food, tours and transportation when you visit.
