Hello, I am BookOfCinz! I am an avid reader and traveler and I love all things Caribbean. Over the last eight years, I have been sharing my love for Caribbean Literature and showcasing my travels to various Caribbean Islands. I have executed over 20 Reading Retreats in the Caribbean, hosting over 100 Readers from the Caribbean, African, Europe, the US and the UK.
In 2027 we will be reading and seeing more of the world and I would love for you to join me! It’s been a pleasure curating unique experiences in the Caribbean, also the reviews do not lie. We arrive in Dominica at the Douglas Charles airport where a river runs pass. You will be taken to Sea Cliff cottages to check in and be welcomed with a delicious dinner.
We start off slow by waking up in paradise. We sleep in, only waking up to the alarms of the waves from the sea. Breakfast at a local restaurant in Calibishie followed by Red Rock, chocolate tour. We will then spend the entire day at the beach reading and relaxing before heading back to Sea Cliff for an amazing dinner.
We will have a farm to table brunch at Sea Cliff cottages where we will talk books and reading. We will do a locally run garden tour followed by a tasting. Dinner will be a river lime.
We will be visiting the two of Roseau for the day. First stop is the museum, the craft market, we will then head to Scott’s Head for the day, we get to see the Caribbean Sea meet the Atlantic and chill at the beach. A mini tour of the capital, followed by lunch and a drive back. We will then have a collage making class before heading into Book Club.
For our last day we will be chasing waterfalls! Get ready to see some beautiful falls, relax and close our a beautiful time in paradise. We will then have our close out dinner.
Time to go, but not before having a delicious local breakfast where you will then be driven to your airport.

April 7 – 11, 2027
Location: Bay House
We are kicking off the 2027 Reading Retreat line off on the Spice Island of Grenada. This one is special because Grenada is an unforgettable place. For five days, we will be eating local, having spices, going to museums, spending days at and on the beach.
For five days you will be in Paradise, and this is what your days will look like!
Day One:
We arrive in beautiful Grenada where you will check into the hotel. Once you are settled and brief, we will head out to Dodgy Dock Street Food Wednesday. This is a great opportunity to eat like a local, party like a local and get a feel for Grenada. There will be amazing food, a live band and a DJ to close out the night.
Day Two,:
We will have a slow morning to recover from the night before. Breakfast will be at the villa and then we head to the beach for the entire day to Read and rest. Grand Anse Beach is voted the best in Grenada and we get to soak it all up. After that we will head back to the villa for the official welcome dinner and book club night.
Day Three:
This will be a full day of activities where we get to explore Grenada with a full island tour. Get ready for a full island tour including a local breakfast, drive through the capital city to see the monuments. We will be visiting various museums including the nutmeg, rum distillery and cocoa pods. To end the day we will have a sip and paint then a delicious dinner.
Day Four:
Get ready to spend the entire day sailing to various cays in Grenada. We will be doing snorkel stops, seeing the underwater sculpture park and having a great time on the Caribbean sea. After a day on the sea we head back to the villa to have dinner.
Day Five:
For our last day in Grenada we will be having a boozy bottomless brunch! Then we head to the beach for the rest of the day before heading back to the villa to get ready for the closing dinner.

We have breakfast, say our goodbyes!
April 28 – May 3, 2027
Location: Stonefield Villa
We loved St. Lucia so much we are heading back for our third Reading Retreat! We will be staying in the beautiful town of Soufriere where we will be in view of the Pitons, close to beautiful beaches and all the best St. Lucia has to offer! For the five days we will be staying in paradise! Get ready for days spent at the beach, chocolate tours, hot girl walks, beautiful tours, delicious food and amazing company.
For five days you will be in Paradise, and this is what your days will look like!
Day one:
We arrive in St. Lucia via the Hewanorra Airport. You will be picked up and driven to Soufriere. After the long drive you will be greeted with a welcome drink, you get a chance to take in the views, settle in and get ready for a welcome dinner with everyone.
Day 2:
We start off slow by waking up in paradise. We sleep in, only waking up to the alarms of the waves from the sea. Breakfast at the property and you get to laze around. We will head to the world-famous Sugar beach to rest and then to Jade Mountain for lunch. After that, we will spend the evening watching the sunset before heading back to the villa for dinner.
Day 3:
We get up early, have breakfast then we head to volcano for a full tour! After the tour, we will go waterfalls chasing. Lunch will be at Hotel Chocolat. We will relax and then head out for dinner.
Day 4:
We kick of the day with breakfast before heading to do a short walk and a chocolate making tour. We will spend the day on a boat tour, snorkeling and having fun on the water. We head back to the villa to get dressed and head out for dinner.
Day 5:
For our last day we will have a Boozy Beach Book Brunch to celebrate a great Retreat so far. From there we will do a mini tour of Soufriere before heading to back to the dinner for our closing out dinner.

Time to go, but not before having a delicious local breakfast where you will then be driven to your airport.
July 14 – 19, 2027
St. Vincent and Bequia
We will spending five days in beautiful St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Once you arrive, we will spend a few days on mainland St. Vincent then we will head across to Bequia for a beautiful getaway. One of our days will be spent visiting the Tobago Cays and nearby islands. Get ready for the first Reading Retreat in SVG!
NEW DATE: August 11 – 16, 2027
Location: Zenaida Villa
Day 1:
We arrive in Anguilla and then we are taken to our beautiful villa for an arrival dinner.
Day 2:
We awake to the sound of the Caribbean sea, after breakfast we will head to Meads Bay beach for the entire day, go see the sunset at the ARCH and dinner to follow.
Day 3:
After breakfast at the Village Bakery we will make our way to Sandy Ground for our whole day boat tour. Get ready to spend the day on the Caribbean sea. We close the day with dinner and book club.
Day 4
This is our totally local day, after breakfast we will be doing a local rum tasting tour, learning how to make Johnny cakes, doing a mini island tour and having a delightful local dinner.
Day 5:
Boozey Brunch at Salt at Four Seasons, lounging at the beach at a beach club and ending the day at Sharkys.
Day 6:
We say our goodbyes and head home.

The cost includes accommodations (own room for single occupancy, own bed for
double occupancy), food (breakfast, dinner and some lunches) tours, airport
transfers, transportation on the ground, admissions to tours, and soft drinks.
The cost does not include airfare; you will have to purchase your ticket to the islands. It does not include travel insurance, some lunches, tips or alcohol.
We have single occupancy rooms, and they come with one bed. The cost varies for the single occupancy. If you want to book single occupancy room and share the bed with a friend, that is an option, it would be at a reduced cost- please reach out directly on this.
The cost is for each person. You share a room, but you don’t share beds.
Every island will have a different airport code, please reach out to confirm which one is yours.
No. Each person will be given their own bed. Each room comes with a bathroom.
No, you do not have to do all the tours. If you want to come and stay in the villa the entire time, you are free to do so.
We do not take people under the age of 20 years old. We had a mother daughter
once, so we do from 20 to over 60.
No, but it would be nice to read the ONE book we will be discussing. We read one
book and discuss on the trip.
YES, there is! The funds are non-refundable or transferable. To secure your spot you must pay $500USD. The second payment is due within 1-2 months after and the final is due before the retreat.
Payment can be made through direct bank transfer in Jamaica and Trinidad and
Tobago. Payoneer, Zelle for international persons, TD Bank transfer and paypal.
You only read one book and that’s the book club pick for that month.
