Hello, I am BookOfCinz! I am an avid reader and traveler and I love all things Caribbean. Over the last five years, I have been sharing my love for Caribbean Literature and showcasing my travels to various Caribbean Islands. I have executed 12 Reading Retreats in Anguilla, Dominica, Grenada, Jamaica, St. Lucia, and Trinidad and Tobago. Over 100 Readers from the Caribbean, African, Caribbean US and UK came to the Retreats.

I am excited to announce that in 2026 we will be travelling to five Caribbean destinations and you are invited!  If you love reading, if you love exploring the Caribbean then these reading Retreats are for you! Grenada

For the five days we will be staying at Bayhouse in Grenada. Get ready for days spent at the beach, on the ocean, island tours, rum & spice tour, hot girl walks, beautiful tours, delicious food and amazing company.

Day one

We arrive in beautiful Grenada where you will check into the hotel. Once you are settled and briefed, we will head out to Dodgy Dock Street Food Wednesday. This is a great opportunity to eat like a local, party like a local and get a feel for Grenada. There will be amazing food, a live band and a DJ to close out the night.

We will have a slow morning to recover from the night before. Breakfast will be at the villa and then we head to the beach for the entire day to Read and rest. Grand Anse Beach is voted the best in Grenada, and we get to soak it all up. After that we will head back to the hotel for the official welcome dinner and book club night.

This will be a full day of activities where we get to explore Grenada with a full island tour. Get ready for a full island tour including a local breakfast, drive through the capital city to see the monuments. We will be visiting various attractions to learn about nutmeg, rum, cocoa and chocolate. To end the day, we will have a sip and paint then a delicious dinner.

Get ready to spend the entire day sailing to various coves in Grenada. We will be doing snorkel stops, seeing the underwater sculpture park and having a great time on the Caribbean Sea. After a day at the sea we head out for a delightful Grenadian dinner experience.

For our last day in Grenada we will be having a boozy bottomless brunch! Then we head to the beach for the rest of the day before heading back to the villa to get ready for the closing dinner.

Trinidad and Tobago

For the six days we will be having our bookish getaway in Trinidad and Tobago . Get ready for days spent at one of the premiere Book Festivals in the Caribbean-BOCAS, a full Tobago getaway, delicious foods and amazing company.

Day one

We arrive in Trinidad and Tobago for the first ever BOC Bookish Getaway! You will be picked up from Piarco airport and taken to Kapok hotel for check-in and orientation. After a little rest and relaxation, we will have our welcome dinner.

This is the first day of the BOCAS Lit Festival which kicks off at 10:00am. We will head out for breakfast at 7:30am at a local spot before heading to the festival for the entire day. Lunch will be dropped off at the venue. After a full day of festival activities we depart for the hotel to reset. Dinner will be street food at the Queen’s Park Savannah then we head to Black Box to party like a local!

We kick off today with a mini doubles crawl for breakfast, then head to a coffee shop for our coffee and tea fix! We then head to BOCAS Lit Festival for a full day of literary events. A delicious roti will be delivered at lunch time! We spend the rest of the day at the event before heading back to the hotel to refresh and have dinner.

This is the last day of the literary festival, we kick it off with breakfast at a local restaurant before heading to the festival for the first half of the day. We will then leave at 12pm to go to Freebird for a Boozy Brunch! From there, we can decide to go a book launch or dinner at a local spot.

Today we head to beautiful Tobago for the entire day! Yes, we will be starting our day at 6:00am to take a 22min flight to the island. Once we land we will head to Englishman’s Bay for the scenery, then we stop in Castara for a delicious local breakfast. We take a scenic drive to Pigeon Point where we will be for the entire day, reading and relaxing. After a full day in Tobago, we flight back to Trinidad, grab dinner and close out the day.

Get ready to live like a local! First stop is to Paramin where we will have a delicious breakfast! North Deck look out. How can we make it to Trinidad and not try Bake and Shark at Maracas?! Then we head to Port of Spain where we will shop like a local, visiting our favourite Artisans for souvenirs and a wardrobe update. We head back to the hotel to get ready for our closing dinner.

St. Lucia

For the five days we will be staying at Stonefield Villa in St. Lucia. Get ready for days spent at the beach, on the ocean, island tours, rum & spice tour, hot girl walks, beautiful tours, delicious food and amazing company.

Day one

We arrive in St. Lucia via the George F. L. Charles Airport or Hewanorra Airport. You will be picked up and driven to Soufriere.  After the long drive you will be greeted with a BookOfCinz welcome drink, you get a chance to take in the views, settle in and get ready for a welcome dinner with everyone at the Mango Tree Restaurant.

We start off slowly by waking up in paradise. We sleep in, only waking up to the alarms of the waves from the sea. Breakfast at the property and you get to laze around. We can have lunch at Sugar beach bar or have a local lunch brought in. We head back to the villa to get ready for sunset drinks at Jade Mountains with dinner at Ladera.

We get up early, have breakfast then we head to do a full tour of the town starting with a volcano tour! After the tour, we will go waterfalls chasing. Lunch will be at Hotel Chocolat. We head back to the hotel to then go for dinner at Tree Top Restaurant.

We kick of the day with breakfast before heading to do a short walk. We will spend the day on a boat tour, snorkeling and having fun on the water.  We head back to the villa to get dressed and head out for dinner at Orlandos

For our last day we will have a Boozy Beach Book Brunch to celebrate a great Retreat so far. From there we will do a mini tour of Soufriere before heading to back to the dinner for our closing out dinner.

As Cindy says, I stepped out of myself! I let go of always being the primary planner on group trips. I stepped away from obsessing over an itinerary and I buried my inner introvert. What does the cost include?

The cost includes accommodations (own room for single occupancy, own bed for
double occupancy), food (breakfast, dinner and some lunches) tours, airport
transfers, transportation on the ground, admissions to tours, and soft drinks.

The cost does not include airfare; you will have to purchase your ticket to the islands. It does not include travel insurance, some lunches, tips or alcohol.

We have single occupancy rooms, and they come with one bed. The cost varies for the single occupancy. If you want to book single occupancy room and share the bed with a friend, that is an option, it would be at a reduced cost- please reach out directly on this.

The cost is for each person. You share a room, but you don’t share beds.

Every island will have a different airport code, please reach out to confirm which one is yours.

No. Each person will be given their own bed. Each room comes with a bathroom.

No, you do not have to do all the tours. If you want to come and stay in the villa the entire time, you are free to do so.

We do not take people under the age of 20 years old. We had a mother daughter
once, so we do from 20 to over 60.

No, but it would be nice to read the ONE book we will be discussing. We read one
book and discuss on the trip.

YES, there is! The funds are non-refundable or transferable. To secure your spot you must pay $500USD. The second payment is due within 1-2 months after and the final is due before the retreat.

Payment can be made through direct bank transfer in Jamaica and Trinidad and
Tobago. Payoneer, Zelle for international persons, TD Bank transfer and paypal.

You only read one book and that’s the book club pick for that month.
